about me

I stumbled upon photography by accident.

I was studying illustration in college, and decided to take a film photography class because it fit into my schedule. I learned how to set up studio lighting and process photos in a darkroom, but once the course was over I moved on and didn’t give it a second thought.

After I graduated, I was working in the design department of a multinational corporation and we had budget at the end of the year that needed spending. Our creative directer decided to invest that into some high-end photography equipment, and gave me the green light to take it home and start experimenting. With my basic understanding of the mechanics of photography, an artist’s eye for composition, and some internet tutorials, I got the hang of it and was quickly hooked. My passion for capturing the world through my lens developed into a driving force in my life.

Throughout my journey as a photographer, I have sought to reveal the beauty and complexity of our world through the images I capture. Each one is a testament to the emotions and stories that unfold before my eyes, frozen in time for others to experience.

But above all else, I believe my photos allow my subjects to connect with themselves in a way they have not experienced before.

My gift is to see the intangible qualities in others and bring them into the light, allowing my subjects to see the magic I witness within them—courage, vulnerability, passion, and the pure vibrant being-ness that is their true essence.

Throughout my career, I have strived to push the boundaries of traditional photography, seeking new perspectives and innovative approaches to composition and storytelling. I have delved into various genres, from portraiture to documentary photography, constantly challenging myself to see beyond the surface and capture the essence of my subjects.

As I continue to evolve, I am committed to using my art to shed light on the unseen, to challenge perceptions, and to inspire others to see the world through a different perspective.

When I’m not photographing, you can find me spending time with my pets (a horse, cat, and rabbit), tending to my plants, pole dancing, fire spinning, or going on adventures with my friends and loved ones.
